DEFINISI REPORT TEXT. KAMIS, 28 JANUARI 2021. KELAS IXA, IXB & IXC

Selamat pagi anak- anak. Semoga kalian semua dalam keadaan sehat dan bahagia. Baiklah, sebelum pelajaran kita mulai, mari kita berdo'a, memohon kepada Allah SWT agar kita semua selalu sehat, bahagia dan lancar dalam melakukan semua aktivitas. Memohon agar dimudahkan dalam memahami ilmu yang kita pelajari dan ilmu tersebut bermanfaat. Berdo'a, ....mulai. ------ Selesai. 

Sebelum memulai pelajaran, silakan kalian mengisi presensi dulu untuk mengetahui kehadiran dan partisipasi kalian dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris hari ini.

Namun tidak cukup hanya presensi saja. Yang ibu nilai adalah kehadiran dan partisipasi kalian dalam pembelajaran. Jasmine is a native flower to some tropical areas in South Asia, Africa and Australia. In India, some varieties of Jasmine are used for religious purposes. The flower can grow up to 3 meters high and 2 meters wide. It releases its fragrance mostly after the sun sets especially nearing the full moon. Therefore, it is often associated with soothing night- time moods. The planting of Jasmine is started by putting some cuttings in 3 inch posts within 4 weeks. After the roots grow, they are put into 6 inch pots. The soil in the pots should be kept moist but possible for the water to go through it for optimum growth. There are some important advantages of Jasmine. In medication, this flower is often used for soothing headaches, stimulating brain, and restoring balance. Its extract is also widely used in the making of perfume.

1. Memperhatikan kata-kata sifat yang ada pada teks, kalau ada kata penghubung maka biasanya mengikuti kata sifat sebelumnya.

2. Harus mengerti makna/arti teks tersebut secara keseluruhan sehingga bisa mengisi teks rumpang dengan mudah sesuai dengan kalimat bahasa Indonesia yang benar.

Dayang Sumbi adalah seorang putri yang cantik dan baik hati, tetapi kadang-kadang dia sangat malas. Hobinya adalah menenun kain. Suatu hari alat tenunnya jatuh. Tumang, seekor anjing terkutuk, datang untuk membawa alatnya kembali kepadanya. Seperti yang dia janjikan, dia menikahinya. Tuman sebenarnya adalah pria yang telah dikutuk oleh seorang laki-laki untuk menjadi seekor anjing. Tapi kadang-kadang dia bisa kembali/berubah ke pria normal. Dayang Sumbi dan Tumang punya satu putra. Namanya Sangkuriang. Dia tidak tahu bahwa Tumang adalah ayahnya karena dia adalah seekor anjing setiap kali dia bersamanya. Tumang selalu menemani Sangkuriang setiap kali dia pergi berburu di hutan.

Long, long ago, when the gods and goddesses used to mingle in the affairs of mortals, there was a small kingdom on the slope of Mount Wayang in West Java.  The King, named Sang Prabu, was a wise man.  He had an only daughter, called Princess Teja Nirmala, who was famous for her beauty but she was not married.  One day Sang Prabu made up his mind to settle the matter by a show of strength.
After that, Prince of Blambangan, named Raden Begawan had won the competition.  Unfortunately, the wicked fairy, Princess Segara fell in love with Raden Begawan and used magic power to render him unconscious and he forgot his wedding.  When Sang Prabu was searching, Raden Begawan saw him and soon realized that he had been enchanted by the wicked fairy.  The fairy could not accept this, so she killed Raden Begawan.  When Princess Teja Nirmala heard this, she was very sad.  So a nice fairy took her to the Kahyangan.

Teks Narrative Legend 2
A long time ago, there lived on the island of Bali a giant-like creature named Kbo Iwo.  The people of Bali used to say that Kbo Iwo was everything, a destroyer as well as a creator.  He was satisfied with the meal, but this meant for the Balinese people enough food for a thousand men.
Difficulties arose when for the first time the barns were almost empty and the new harvest was still a long way off.  This made Kbo Iwo wild with great anger.  In his hunger, he destroyed all the houses and even all the temples.  It made the Balinese turn to rage.
So, they came together to plan steps to oppose this powerful giant by using his stupidity.  They asked Kbo Iwo to build them a very deep well, and rebuild all the houses and temples he had destroyed.  After they fed Kbo Iwo, he began to dig a deep hole.
One day he had eaten too much, he fell asleep in the hole.  The oldest man in the village gave a sign, and the villagers began to throw the limestone they had collected before into the hole.  The limestone made the water inside the hole boiling .  Kbo Iwo was buried alive.  Then the water in the well rose higher and higher until at last it overflowed and formed Lake Batur.  The mound of earth dug from the well by Kbo Iwo is known as Mount Batur.

Soal Teks Narrative Legend 3
A long time ago, very few people lived in the New Territories.  There were only a few villages.  If the people wanted to go from one village to another, they often had to pass through wild and unsafe forest.
One day, a farmer’s young wife went to the next village to visit her own mother and brother.  She brought along her baby son.  When it was time for her to leave, her brother said “ it is getting dark.  Let my son, Ah Tim go with you though the forest.”
So Ah Tim led the way and the young woman followed behind, carrying her baby.  When they were in the forest, suddenly they saw a group of wolves.  They began to run to avoid the danger, but Ah Tim kicked against a stone and fell down.  At once the wolves caught him.  The young woman cried to the wolves, “ please eat my own son instead.” Then, she put her baby son on the ground in front of the wolves and took her nephew away.  Everyone understood that this was because the woman was very good and kind.  She had offered her own son’s life to save her nephew.
They ran back to the house and called for help.  All men in the village fetched thick sticks and went back with her into the forest.  When they got there, they saw something very strange.  Instead of eating the woman’s baby the wolves were playing with him.

Declarative sentence disebut juga statement atau dalam bahasa Indonesia sehari-hari disebut juga sebagai pernyataan. Kalimat ini isinya memberikan informasi. Declarative sentence diakhiri dengan titik/period.

Interogative sentence adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk bertanya dan diakhiri dengan tanda tanya/question mark.

Sebelum membuat contoh declarative dan interrogative sentences, mari kita belajar mengenai tense yang akan digunakan dalam kalimat yaitu simple past tense.


SIMPLE PAST TENSE adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan aktivitas yang SUDAH dilakukan dan sudah SELESAI.

Untuk membentuk simple past tense adalah sebagai berikut:

(+) Subject + Verb-2

(-) Subject + Did not + Infinitive without to

(?) Did + Subject + Infinitive without to

Keterangan waktu yang biasanya mengikuti simple past tense adalah: yesterday, two days ago, last month, last week, a week ago, last year

Declarative Sentences

Spelling Rules

If a verb of one syllable ends [consonant-vowel-consonant], double the final consonant and add "ed":

·         chat > chatted

·         stop > stopped

If the final consonant is w, x, or y, don't double it:

·         sew > sewed

·         play > played

·         fix > fixed

If last syllable of a longer verb is stressed and ends [consonant-vowel-consonant], double the last consonant and add "ed":

·         incur > incurred

·         prefer > preferred

If the first syllable of a longer verb is stressed and the verb ends [consonant-vowel-consonant], just add "ed":

·         open > opened

·         enter > entered

·         swallow > swallowed

If the verb ends "e", just add "d":

·         thrive > thrived

·         guzzle > guzzled

If the verb ends [consonant + "y"], change the "y" to an "i" and add "ed":

·         cry > cried

·         fry > fried

Forming the Simple Past Tense of Irregular Verbs

If it's an irregular verb, the simple past tense is formed in all sorts of different ways. Here are some examples:

·         break > broke

·         catch > caught

·         find > found

·         see > saw

You just have to learn them.
